Kevin Pearce Former professional snowboarder Kevin Pearce sustained a traumatic brain injury that ended his career just shy of the 2010 winter olympics. Motivated by his experiences, Kevin has set out to inspire people to better understand the most vital and fragile human organ, the brain. Kevin is sharing the message and work of the LoveYourBrain Foundation all over the world through motivational speaking, camps, and educational programs. Kevin’s remarkable recovery –- and his journey to accept his new life – has been chronicled in “The Crash Reel,” a documentary by two-time Oscar nominated director, Lucy Walker. 

Michael Jager

His groundbreaking work with JDK Design continues with Solidarity of Unbridled Labour, a studio that conceptualizes and realizes ideas that help guide and create culture, and positive change within it.

Adam Pearce When Kevin sustained a severe traumatic brain injury in 2009, Adam took a leave-of-absence from his job and spent an entire year by Kevin’s side supporting his rehabilitation. Adam co-founded LoveYourBrain alongside Kevin and now serves as the Executive Director. Through his vision, LoveYourBrain endeavors to help all people understand what it means to truly love their brain. Adam also served as the co-producer and co-videographer of the HBO documentary “The Crash Reel.” The film premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2013 and was short listed for a 2014 Academy Award. 

Doug Ulman

Doug Ulman is a three-time cancer survivor and globally recognized cancer advocate.  He currently serves at the President & CEO at Pelotonia, a Columbus-based non-profit organization that raises money for innovative, life-saving cancer research at The Ohio State University.  Prior to joining the team at Pelotonia, Doug served as the President & CEO of the LIVESTRONG Foundation.

Geoffery J Vitt

Chris Giza, MD

Christopher Giza graduated from Dartmouth College, received his M.D. from West Virginia University and then trained in Adult and Pediatric Neurology at UCLA.  He then worked on the Yosemite Search and Rescue team before joining the UCLA Brain Injury Research Center.  Dr. Giza traveled to Afghanistan in 2011 as a civilian advisor to the Department of Defense. He founded and directs the UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT program, and also serves as Medical Director for the Operation MEND-Wounded Warrior Project mild TBI program.  He currently serves on advisory committees for TBI/concussion with the CDC, NCAA, NBA, MLS and USSF, and has been a clinical consultant for the NFL, NHL and MLS.  He is currently Professor of Pediatric Neurology and Neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine and Mattel Children’s Hospital-UCLA.

Jim Hudziak, MD

Jim Hudziak, is the Creator and Director of the UVM Wellness Environment (WE).  He is also the creator of WEmentors, part of the WE Relate pillar of wellness at the UVM Wellness Environment.  In addition, in his role as Chief of Child Psychiatry and Director of the Vermont Center for Children, Youth, and Families at UVM College of Medicine and Medical Center, Jim has also created a new way to help children and families, The Vermont Family Based Approach a novel health promotion program based on the same pillars of wellness emphasized in WE.  The approaches of WE have been applied with great success even in the face of great adversity.

David de Rothschild

David de Rothschild is an adventurer, environmentalist, eternal optimist.  Driven by his immeasurable curiosity for the natural world, he has ventured to some of the most remote and fragile ecosystems on our planet in order to bring widespread attention and innovative solutions to urgent global environmental issues. With numerous adventures, several books, a TV series, alongside being recognized by UNEP as Climate hero and National Geographic as an Emerging Explorer, David is always debating, collaborating and innovating solutions for a more sustainable planet and driving individuals and groups alike to unlock their human potential and dream big.


Duke Stump

Duke is an inspired protagonist who loves to build cultural bonfires. His eclectic background includes: former pro hockey player in Sweden, 15+ years at NIKE, CMO at Seventh Generation, first Expert-In-Residence at Presidio Graduate School, SVP Culture-Creative-Brand Innovation at Easton Sports, co-host for The DO Lectures USA and is currently EVP of brand & community at lululemon. An avid nature lover and endorphin zealot, Duke lives in bucolic Ojai, California, with his wonderful wife Molly, two beautiful daughters Piper and Sydney and a posse of horses, dogs, cats and chickens.



Roger is an award-winning investment manager for a large Canadian financial firm. He has spent twenty years considering and assessing risk on behalf of his clients’ to protect and grow their savings, and manages investments around the world. A Canadian who has lived in San Francisco for twenty years, Roger has always been drawn outside, as a skier, mountain biker and photographer. He lives by the Bay with his wife and two children.
