REFLECT ON THE JOYFUL DAYS OF 2016!

As this year draws to a close, it’s important to take the time to reflect on all that 2016 offered – its challenges, its humorous moments, its lessons, its triumphs, its pain, and most importantly, its joys.

End this year with gratitude for the positive experiences of this year, and carry that with you in to 2017.

To make the reflection more tangible, practice this short exercise:

  1. Close your eyes and think about your 3 most joy-filled days of 2016.

  2. Visualize each of those days, mentally walking through them and engaging all five senses.  Where were you?  Who were you with?  Was it a warm or cold day?  What were you doing?  Were there any pleasant smells?

  3. Notice the positive emotions that arise.  Allow yourself to be fully present with those feelings.

  4. Stack your hands and place your palms against your heart, actively retaining the bliss within you.

So in these final days of 2016, find the space and time to reflect and smile. Thank this year for the opportunities it offered for growth and for the days it provided full of bliss.
