Acceptance Meditation by Mary Nelsen

I experienced my first traumatic brain injury 18 years ago.  Altogether, I’ve had four TBIs, which has led me to try many different therapies--water exercises, centered horseback riding, kayaking, meditation, and, most recently, LoveYourBrain Yoga. I love the LYB family and the positive message that it has to send out to others with TBI.

I am happy to share this meditation to help anyone affected by TBI to find an "I Can" attitude with their life, as it is now. I’ve found it extremely important to focus on the positive and all the things that we can do. Hopefully you will be inspired to forgive what has happened to you and appreciate the strengths that you possess. From the core of my soul, I wish that you will be able to embrace your life and to start from this place, where you are now, to be creative in ways you never thought possible!

Mary Nelsen was born and raised in California and now resides in Canaan, NH with her daughter, Shelley, and her dog and chickens. Her aspirations in life are to help others along their TBI journey and to give others happiness.
