April Newsletter

We had an amazing March, raising awareness for National Brain Injury Awareness Month and funds for the Kevin Pearce Fund! We launched loveyourbrain.com so go check it out!

Personal Message from Kevin:
March was pretty intense.  So intense I had to chop of my hair:) I had so much fun traveling around the country and promoting National Brain Injury Awareness Month and the LoveYourBrain message. The month started out with our first ever ping pong fundraiser in Vail, CO. Jack and Danny came out and made it extra special. Thanks to our sponsors and to all of you who came out and made it such a big success.

I had the best High School screening ever in Telluride, showing the Crash Reel to about 900 students. (Pictured above) It was incredible, the students were so enthusiastic and really pumped to see the film and embrace the LoveYourBrain message.

Heading east, I spent a few days in Stowe, Vermont for a really cool AIG event, and I got to ride so much powder. It was such a good time, and really nice to spend some time in the mountains before I headed to New York City for an event with a Pharmaceutical Company focused on PBA (Pseudo Bulbar Affect, uncontrollable laughing or crying as a result of neurological conditions such as TBI, multiple sclerosis etc.). It was really interesting to learn about PBA and speak to experts in the field.

I finally made it back home to relax in California for a few days, and I’ve been enjoying taking it easy and doing a lot of yoga. It’s important to be able to take some downtime and relax before I hit the road again to share the LoveYourBrain message.

Thank you all for such a great March! I can’t wait for all the exciting things coming up!

Between March 1st and 31st, we raised over $12,000.00 with additional support from activities during the month still coming in. We expect within the next few days to have reached our goal of $15,000 for the month, which is very exciting!

If you follow us on social media, you would have noticed that we partnered in a project called #amelonaday campaign where we used watermelons to promote brain injury awareness. Thanks to all of you who participated! Look out for more #protectyourmelon coming throughout the year.
