FIND A COMMUNITY

“One of the most expensive things you could ever do is pay attention to the wrong people”.
Your mental and emotional health are such valuable aspects of your overall health that it’s important to surround yourself with people that support you.
You do what the people around you do. For example, if your friends make unhealthy life choices, chances are, you’ll do the same. This is why it is so important to find friends and family members that encourage an active lifestyle and healthy eating. I’ve always tried to fill my community with people that are trying to reach goals and live a life that is similar to mine. Having a good group of people in your corner is so helpful when it comes to accountability and good decision-making.
Surrounding yourself with the wrong people is the most expensive mistake you will make in your life. You’re not losing money, but your losing yourself and your power to make good choices. When you have a brain injury, you cannot afford to make the wrong choices. For me being around the right people has given me the inspiration to do the things I want to do and encouraged me to take on new challenges.
