Why do you think it is important to teach yoga to those who have had a brain injury?

One of the biggest things that TBI patients lose is a sense of identity as an independent, functioning human being. Yoga gives everyone the chance to master themselves, regardless of their physical body and cognitive limitations.


What do you think are the most important teaching qualities and approaches to incorporate when teaching those who have had a brain injury?

Patience, acceptance, consistency, allowing for self-discovery without judgment or projecting one’s expectations.
