Mindful Monday Series:
Be Inclusive
In today’s practice, we assess how recent lessons have shaped us and create a deep intention for a mindful outlook into the next phase of life. Mindfulness is about seeing clearly, so that we might gain a better understanding of how to grow and move forward. Let’s curate an intention that welcomes our entire self, as well as all others who show up in life, into the practice. (Approximately 10 minutes)
This practice is led by Carolyn Anne Budgell.
Carolyn has been leading meditation since 2010 in all types of settings: one-on-one, intimate groups, trainings, on international retreats, at the Wanderlust festivals and in the corporate world. Carolyn guides her workshops and retreats in a simple and accessible language. She firmly believes that meditation is not just about being still and silent, but also about a willingness to look within, accept the situation and then work to create change. In this way, every aspect of life becomes a meditation.
”To me, inclusivity means that we all belong and are all worthy, that we all have something powerful to contribute in our communities, as well as to our own healing process. In order to create a world with equal rights and social justice, the work of reparation must begin within - and I believe everyone can change. We all have the potential to shift anxieties and inner narratives. Through simple and accessible languaging, we can all practice mindfulness, and this is my goal - to offer meditation to anyone who is ready to transform. We will go deep into including all of ourselves into each moment as well as ways to practice including others without trying to change or control others. The change and the ability to accept + respect + include others must come from from a clear place within first.” - Carolyn Anne
