Events & Fundraising Volunteers
Volunteers can support a variety of meaningful and fun in-person events and online fundraising campaigns to support our mission.
What Our Volunteers Are Saying
“Going from participant to volunteer has honestly been one of the most meaningful parts of my healing. After a brain injury, it’s easy to feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or like nobody really understands what daily life feels like anymore. Healing my brain hasn’t been one giant breakthrough; it’s been small steps every day, and this community gave me a place where sharing that progress mattered.” — Kathryn Y.
“This was an amazing experience. It felt so good to be helpful to people who are facing a range of challenges that resonate and echo inside of me; nurturing seeds of hope and watching them grow over our time shared together. The love shown and felt was incredible, and it truly was magical.” — Tom S.
“As a volunteer, I was able to connect with people with brain injury in a way that is just not possible in my normal clinic/hospital setting. Personally witnessing the strength and bravery in everyone's story was truly amazing. I have memories that will stay with me for a lifetime.” — Wellness Team Volunteer
“These Retreats renew my faith in humankind. As a volunteer myself, I know I'm adding value for those who attend, but I also feel that I'm receiving so much in return. It’s apparent that it's a reciprocal journey for us all.” — Bernie F.
“Attending the Retreat as a volunteer gives me a chance to reflect on my recovery journey and support the amazing survivors and caregivers during such a life-changing Retreat.” — Katy S.
Frequently Asked Questions

That depends on a few things, such as what role you apply for and where you are located. We don't always have volunteer positions open, so we will reach out to you for an interview when a position becomes available. Sometimes this is within the next few months, but it could be longer. For that reason we will hold onto your application. You will not be forgotten about! You can always reach out to us at info@loveyourbrain.com with questions.

We're grateful for the interest we've received in volunteer opportunities! However, we don't always have volunteer roles available and thus have not reached out to every applicant. This does not mean we don't want to work with you—we continue to appreciate your interest and motivation.

Our greatest volunteer needs are healthcare professionals for our Retreat wellness teams and volunteers to assist in the kitchen during Retreats.
