In this month’s Tip from our Community, Marina Shelton shares her wisdom on the importance of confidence.

“Whenever something doesn't seem to go the way people want, they just need to push past all the negatives and really assert themselves to get to the point they want no matter how frustrating it seems. As long as that person keeps trying, it might even help them get beyond what they thought was possible. It can be very hard and discouraging at some points, but it can make them stronger! Never feel limited, anything is possible, and never give up!”

Sidenote:  Confidence may “live” in a particular part of the brain.  Researchers found that neurons in the orbitofrontal cortex may be required for confident decision-making.
