LYB Mindset Facilitator

About me: I am a yoga therapist, stress management coach and nervous system researcher. I find deep and meaningful work at the intersection of where science meets the human Spirit. I specialize in helping people thrive in the post-traumatic growth phase of life. Nature fills my soul and I love camping with my family, hiking, gardening and crafting.

Why LYB: Personally, yoga, grounding, breathwork, meditation and restful practices are components to my health, wellbeing and life resilience. They all taught me how to slow down without collapsing into exhaustion! Working with LYB gave me the strength and understanding to face my own experience with brain injury as well as the fun structure to share the teachings with other lovely humans around our globe. The support from LYB leadership truly a gift!

Superhero: My superhero is my friend Jenny! She has one of the most difficult jobs on the planet and is unafraid to discuss and update boundaries, prioritize self-care and make room for supporting passion projects.

Resources: As a yoga therapist and nervous system coach, I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced abuse, brain injury and addiction as well as individuals living with mental illness. For nine years, I’ve taught a weekly, adaptive yoga class at my gym, Real Human Performance. Local neurologists and other physicians refer patients for the Self-Care and Resilience (SCaR), an 8-session program that is clinically shown to reduce stress, increase self-compassion and improve nervous system capacity. http://www.realhumanperformance.com/scar-program
