Our Community Retreat at COD Ranch is nestled amidst the stunning Galiuro and Santa Catalina Mountains. Known locally as a high-desert sanctuary, COD Ranch offers sweeping views, private trails, and tranquil gathering spaces to discover resilience, community, and belonging. Transform your healing journey after brain injury using the science-backed benefits of holistic healing through our mindfulness, movement, nutrition, art, and community-building curriculum.
“The LYB retreat was amazing at helping me reframe my injury, set positive intentions for my recovery/future and bring a sense of value back to myself. I can't begin to express my gratitude to the entire LYB staff.”
— Aaron V., COD Retreat Participant
Accommodations
3-4 participants share each cozy lodge room, which includes a shower (ADA accessible) and an additional sink or bathtub. There is also a modern bathhouse with ten additional walk-in shower stalls. Each lodge has a community room with a fireplace and kitchenette, along with outdoor seating areas overlooking the Coronado National Forest.
Nourishment
All meals are crafted by world-class chefs and a dedicated kitchen team. Participants are provided with brain-healthy meals each day, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Food is served communally/buffet style (i.e., not in individual servings). In addition to delicious daily nourishment, participants will also participate in opportunities to learn how nutrition can contribute to and compliment holistic healing after brain injury.
Curriculum
Our Retreats offer a science-backed curriculum designed to support resilience and holistic healing. We provide daily opportunities for gentle yoga, mindfulness activities, nutrition support, art inquiry, and community building. With scheduled rest time, self-care is always encouraged and prioritized. Our hope is that you gain additional knowledge around brain injury healing, feel part of a community, and connect to your inner resilience.
