    • Adults (18+) with brain injury (including concussion) and other types of acquired brain injury (e.g., stroke, anoxia, and tumor) at least two years post injury

    • Caregivers or support people (siblings, spouses, partners, supportive friends)

    • Able to follow directions and communicate verbally

    • Able to walk or use assistive devices for safe mobility

    • Able to participate in an overnight, interactive group setting for all five days of the Retreat (must stay onsite)

    • To maximize your experience, applicants who’ve previously attended another LYB program are prioritized.

  • There is no tuition to attend our Retreats to ensure access for those who experience financial hardship - instead, we ask you to fundraise or donate to pay-it-forward for our program! 

    LoveYourBrain invests approximately $3,000 per person to provide a transformative holistic health experience, including all meals, lodging, workshops, and activities. We encourage everyone (including caregivers) to set a goal to raise or donate at least $1,500 (half the actual cost). We realize everyone has different fundraising capacities, and all contributions are deeply appreciated and ensure our Retreats remain free and accessible.

    To support your fundraising efforts, we provide tools and support to help you have a fun and successful fundraising experience!

    To increase equity, LoveYourBrain is able to offer two ~$250 USD scholarships per Retreat for people with the greatest financial need and/or people from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, as needed. You can apply during the interview process.

  • To build community connection, everyone stays in shared cabins.

    Our Lead Chef and nutrition team provide brain-healthy meals rich in nutrients and flavor, and education around brain-boosting recipes and meal prep.
