LYB Mindset Facilitator

About me: II’m a queer, non-binary person from The Netherlands. A few years after I sustained my TBI in 2010 I found my resilience back through yoga. Yoga helped me to relax more deeply again, I regained some mental clarity, I started sleeping better, got more confidence and I could feel that I was more than just my disability again. I’ve been teaching yoga since 2018, and I love sharing the practice that has truly changed my life.
Besides that I really love moving my body and doing all kinds of sports, baking and my cats. I am a social justice activist and love exploring the intersections of yoga and activism.

Why LYB: I’m passionate about creating community and bringing people together. Having a TBI can be so lonely; being more isolated from the world and often having to deal with incomprehension. There is so much healing in community and finding (and giving) support from people who share the same experiences.

Superhero: ALOK! They are an amazing speaker, activist, poet and so much more. They are able to express their experiences and struggles so beautifully and compassionately.
