About me: Nirali suffered a TBI in 2015, exactly one year after her father’s passing, after being struck by an SUV as a pedestrian. Today she is a medical student and meditation teacher committed to holding spaces of healing for all people.

Why LYB: If not for LoveYourBrain’s (LYB) inclusive and accepting community, I would not have the courage to speak so openly about my TBI experience. I firmly believe in the quote: “When you stand in your truth, you give others permission to do the same.” Others have paved the path for me, and I feel so honored to now facilitate in the LYB Mindset Group Discussion program.

Superhero: My older brother, Rikav, is my greatest advocate and friend. His "powers" go beyond our relationship though — he is an example of kindness and compassion in every aspect of his life. The world feels brighter because he's in it.
