Peter Jermyn
he/him - Toronto, ON
LYB Mindset Facilitator
About me: Peter brings over two decades of lived experience with concussion to his work in the brain injury community. He previously worked in the non-profit sector supporting displaced refugees traumatized by the Syrian civil war and facilitated a Toronto-based traumatic brain injury support group for four years.
With LoveYourBrain, Peter facilitates Mindset discussion groups and recently facilitated LYB’s first-ever concussion affinity groups. He loves facilitating and sharing the growth mindset, meditation, yoga, and yoga nidra with participants. He cares deeply about drawing on his own lived experience to help people navigating TBI feel seen, understood, and supported.
Inspired by his recent experiences at a LYB retreat, Peter completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. He’s super excited to be leading TBI-informed yoga classes this year as a new facilitator of LYB's yoga Mindset groups.
Why LYB: Part of my life's mission is to co-create brave spaces where people affected by TBI can connect and feel seen. The growth mindset, meditation, yoga, and yoga nidra all play an important role in my life and sharing these practices with others lights me up!
Superhero: My older brother, who has shown me that holding space is one of the kindest things you can do for someone.
