Monica A. Rasmussen
she/her/hers - Loveland, CO
LYB Mindset Facilitator, Retreat Ambassador
About me: I have studied and practiced meditation as well as yoga for close to 20 years. These days, as a TBI thriver, I am a neurodiversity life coach and lead a support group with the Brain Injury Association of Colorado but I can, also, now ski, ride horses and be a photographer again.
Why LYB: I am so inspired by the growth opportunities that LoveYourBrain has promoted in my own journey and I am feel the call to be of service to my brain injury community. Also, I love the mission of LYB and I have watched personally the miraculous change that other survivors experience from attending just one of any number of LYB offerings.
Superhero: The Dalai Lama. In my darkest hours, his words and his compassion gave me such peace. His Holiness endured such perils to flee reluctantly from his country, his home and his people in Tibet. To this day, he still works tirelessly for freedom from suffering, not only for the Tibetan people, but for all people. His courage with humility has been so inspiring.
Resources: I was just a LYB Ambassador at the August retreat in Colorado. I lead a coaching group on zoom, "Igniting Your Life After Brain Injury" with the Brain Injury Association of Colorado. I am a Master Certified Life Coach and I am also Art Therapy certified. I am a mother and a grandmother. I want everyone to know that they can do hard things...and love it! Oh yeah, age is just a number someone assigned to you. belieflabcoaching.com
