The Breath: Soothing Stress

Led by Carolyn Anne Budgell

Today, we look at the breath, we control it, we lengthen it and target the nervous system in ways that will further relax the body and slow the mind’s incessant chatter. When we are caught in fight or flight, simple breathing exercises can bring us back to the moment. The breath is the most widespread tool across all meditation lineages.

Carolyn Anne Budgell (she/her) (BA, ERYT since 2008) is an introspective and lighthearted yoga/meditation instructor based in Vancouver, BC.  Carolyn discovered yoga in 1999 as a ski bum in Whistler and now teaches all over with Lila Vinyasa School of Yoga, lululemon, various international yoga festivals / conferences and many other organizations. With relatable real-talk and gentleness, Carolyn passionately encourages others to discover their own paths to healing and reminds that it’s never too late to breathe deeply, to grow and to change.
